About the Role
An experienced Director of Computer Vision is needed to lead and mentor a growing team of engineers and researchers. This role will play a key part in shaping the strategy, direction, and execution of computer vision initiatives, from research and development to large-scale deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the computer vision roadmap in alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of machine learning engineers, research scientists, and software developers.
- Drive innovation in visual recognition, object detection, 3D reconstruction, and other core areas of computer vision.
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and executive teams to execute initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and with strategic partners.
- Ensure best practices in model development, data governance, and system architecture.
Requirements:
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Leadership experience in computer vision, with a proven track record in a technical capacity.
- Experience delivering commercial or industrial computer vision products or systems.
- Deep understanding of deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Expertise in areas such as image segmentation, tracking, SLAM, or multimodal learning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in robotics or autonomous systems.
- Publications in leading conferences or journals (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, etc.).
