About the Role

This position offers the chance to contribute to the final development of a product designed to automate visual inspections of tram vehicles, detecting potential faults and supporting efficient fleet management. The role includes involvement in vision perception tasks that are directly connected to autonomous tram technology. Collaboration with data scientists, mathematicians, and industry professionals will be essential to ensure the product’s successful adoption in everyday operations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the creation of an automated post-ride vehicle inspection system.
  • Work on vision perception solutions, including autonomous tram development.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to refine and deploy the final product.
  • Contribute to projects in AI and computer vision aligned with personal expertise.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
  • Strong algorithmic skills for efficient implementation.
  • Experience with computer vision tools such as OpenCV, Scikit-Image, and NumPy.
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
  • Familiarity with Docker, DevOps, or MLOps processes.
  • Experience in AI-based image processing.
  • Understanding of industrial cameras and their specifications.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and database systems.
  • Ability to work with documentation and version control tools such as Git.
  • Methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • University degree preferred.
  • Good command of English for technical and team communication.
  • Independence, reliability, teamwork skills, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the transport or industrial automation sector.
  • Practical involvement in autonomous systems development.
  • Stress resilience and the ability to maintain accuracy in safety-critical environments.
