About the Role

The Computer Vision Engineer will develop and maintain the software powering Turion Space’s proliferated ground sensor network. This role involves designing CV and ML pipelines, monitoring deployed systems, and leveraging massive datasets to identify threats and optimize performance. The position is highly hands-on, offering the opportunity to shape responsive ground systems that directly support orbital awareness and national security.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, implement, and test computer vision and AI/ML software.
  • Develop core software for ground-segment systems.
  • Build monitoring solutions for deployed vision systems.
  • Analyze large datasets collected from ground-segment operations.
  • Identify improvements for system performance and efficiency.
  • Support deployment of new ground-segment sites.

Required Skills

  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Experience with edge-deployed vision systems.
  • Proven track record in prototyping and refining ML algorithms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
