About the Role
The Computer Vision Lead will guide a talented ML team and shape how Neurolabs builds and scales advanced visual AI. This role blends leadership and technical depth — driving sprint rhythms, supporting delivery, and setting technical direction while staying actively involved in model design and optimisation. It is a high-trust, high-impact opportunity to lead state-of-the-art work on large vision models, multimodal approaches, and intelligent pipelines in a fast-scaling environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing ML team focused on computer vision models and infrastructure
- Drive sprint planning, goal-setting, and team rhythms that ensure clarity, engagement, and consistent delivery
- Define and evolve the technical roadmap for CV systems, balancing near-term needs with long-term scalability
- Partner with the Staff ML Engineer on deep technical execution and team alignment
- Contribute to model architecture, optimisation, and experimentation, particularly in large vision and multimodal models
- Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Customer teams to translate commercial requirements into robust AI solutions
- Maintain clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills
- MSc/MRes/MEng or equivalent in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Proven experience leading CV projects from research through deployment in production environments
- Strong background in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Experience mentoring or managing engineers, with focus on delivery and team wellbeing
- Familiarity with large vision models and multimodal systems (vision + text)
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and deploying models in data-constrained environments
- Knowledge of MLOps practices, including pipelines, monitoring, and model versioning
