Overview

Job Description Summary: As a Post Doc in Computer Vision you will work with GE Vernova Research, GE Vernova Businesses, and external customers to define, build, and execute strategic research and development programs focused in Computer Vision and Autonomous Systems. Responsibilities

  • Develop new technology concepts with strategic impact focused in computer vision algorithm and system design and system integration.
  • Actively lead and participate in design, architecture, and development efforts.
  • Engage with internal and external thought leaders across the computer vision stack to drive new concepts and applications.

Position Requirements

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with experience in design and development of computer vision software.
  • Experience in systems architecture, design, and system integration.
  • Experience programming in C/C++/Python.
  • Experience in software engineering and software architecture.
  • Experience developing camera and sensor drivers.
  • Experience in integrating software into working systems.
  • Experience with robotic perception, sensor fusion, and/or computer vision.
  • Possess superior problem-solving skills and independent decision-making abilities, in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.

Pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company may apply geographic differentials (110%, 120%, or 130% of salary) in certain areas. Final pay offered depends on experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
