Green Key Resources
- Lead, manage, and grow the CV/ML engineering team, including hiring engineers from Junior through Senior Staff levels.
- Mentor engineers and support their technical growth, career development, and long-term success.
- Partner with Chief Engineers and the VP of AI to define the CV/ML technical roadmap and own execution within the team.
- Translate product and company objectives—including new weapon system variants, engagement ranges, and system hardening milestones—into quarterly plans, priorities, and staffing decisions.
- Contribute hands-on to the development and optimization of computer vision algorithms for real-time drone detection, tracking, and classification.
- Own delivery commitments for the CV/ML stack and coordinate integration milestones with electrical engineering and hardware teams.
- Drive engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, testing, and rigorous validation across a range of environmental conditions and operational scenarios.
- Help establish technical priorities and remove obstacles to ensure the team consistently delivers against program objectives.
- 10+ years of experience working with machine-learning-based computer vision and traditional image and signal processing, ideally within robotics, with a proven track record deploying CV systems in real-time or safety-critical applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on machine learning and computer vision.
- Experience managing or serving as a technical lead for a CV/ML engineering team, with an interest in expanding management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience owning a technical roadmap or planning process for perception, autonomy, or a similar product area.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar platforms.
- Experience with embedded systems and sensor integration, particularly cameras, LIDAR, and RADAR, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to drive execution while collaborating with senior technical leadership on technical direction in a fast-moving, engineering-focused environment.
- Formal management experience, including hiring and scaling a CV/ML or perception team within a startup or 0-to-1 product environment.
