At ZEISS, we’re building cutting-edge digital tools to revolutionize film and TV production. Our goal is to create smart software that helps camera operators, directors, and VFX teams work more efficiently—both on set and during post-production.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve software applications for the cinematography industry.

  • Build backend and frontend systems to handle video data and sensor inputs.

  • Create modern, user-friendly interfaces for on-set tools, monitoring, and control.

  • Design and implement APIs for both internal and external use (e.g., REST, WebSocket).

  • Work closely with VFX professionals, virtual production teams, and software developers to gather and refine requirements.

  • Take software from the prototype stage to fully developed, production-ready tools.

  • Identify and resolve bugs, and continuously enhance current applications.

  • Be part of international, cross-functional teams working in an agile setup.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, media technology, or similar field.

  • Solid experience in full-stack development (e.g., Node.js, Unreal Engine, Python, C++, React, Electron).

  • Familiarity with camera systems, image processing, or film production workflows.

  • Experience handling video streams, sensor data, or performing image analysis.

  • A passion for design, film technology, and creative processes.

  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and eagerness to learn.

  • Excellent communication in both German and English, spoken and written.
